While on hiatus from NETRA until I aged out of the afternoon race. I like the cometitive riding and navigating others on the course. in the afternnon race of netra I typically would find my spot in the first 1/2 of the first lap and would not see anyone until it was over 2 hours later. Great fun todayok start first moto 6th place off the line.. finished 1st. Moto 2 just went down hill..3rd off the line.. stuck in a crack in the earth second woods section. Laid it down over the logs once and lost 3rd place on last moto section for 4th. 3rd over all. Better than last year so I'll take it for my first race of the season. Sanbox Jday 2022 first rac
Jday is a completely different style race from Netra races. The race starts out on moto and cuts in and out of the woods back onto the moto track. The woods is typically 15-20 feet wide area that all brush is cleared but all natural fixed rocks and trees are left. Its moto style with 2 25 minute races which is 3-6 laps. each line is 50 people on the start and typically that's 3 lines per race so 150 people on the track at a time.The race format is closer together than in a NETRA which typically after the first 1/2 a lap riders are pretty spaced out. This being in the AB race. Teh C race tends to have a bunch of pile ups which can be fun.
